It's Alive....It's Alive!!!!

By David Serna

The Huskies are alive and kicking.
Three wins in a row would be nice for any college basketball team.
But for the Huskies it represents life.
For a bubble team like the Huskies it just needed to happen.
In the last 8 days the Huskies have beaten two top 10 teams.

Just of note, both are from the Big East.

It was getting to the point that the huge win against then #1 Texas was a turning point for this team. The problem was that it was the wrong turn and had become almost a memory.

But the wins against #7 West Virgina and # 3 Villanova have shown the College Basketball world that this Huskies squad has what it takes to make the grade.

The hottest team in the Big East? Maybe.
They have the chance to get hotter and make more wave's but need to finish off strong.
Dyson, Robinson and emerging superstar Kemba Walker are leading the team in scoring, shots blocked and rebounding a great combination for a recipe for wins.
Also UConn is taking care of the ball better than they ever have this season, turnovers will beat you in any sport and that is something that the Huskies were letting happen on a regular basis. Everything is improving at the right time for the Huskies. Going to the free throw line 42 times against West Virgina, a major game changing stat also helped their cause.
In addition, the rebounding is improving, UConn out rebounded West Virgina 35-27 winning the battle under the hoop.

The numbers are getting better game by game getting, Jim Calhoun's Huskies back on the NCAA Tourney track. It all needs too continue. The momentum cannot stop with 3 games remaining in the regular season these are all must win games, 20 wins looks a lot better than 17.

The UConn Huskies are ALIVE!!! And it's looking good, for now.
