The Huskies look groomed beating Villanova after licking wounds from Saturday

By David Serna

It was only a couple of days ago that I had a wonderful title come to my mind for my last blog.
"Stick a fork in Uconn, they are well done."
Well Uconn is not done yet, I would say the timer is very close to going off, but not yet.
After a crazy week of upsets in the Big East, Villanova joins Syracuse and Georgetown with the same fate.
Uconn desperate for a win to keep it's tournament heart still beating, did just that with Kemba Walker leading the way with a huge game (29 pts) backed up with Dyson's (15) in an all around complete game for the Huskies winning 84-75 after a miserable game Saturday against the Bearcats.
Maybe that word that was used woke these sleeping dogs up. You know that word, "Embarrassed."
Uconn out rebounded 36/26 and out hustled one of the best teams in the country in Villanova to snatch away the best win this season. Yes better than even the Texas game. The timing is everything. This was a must win over a quality ranked team to help UConn possibly make a case before the Big East Tournament. The problem is, it needs to continue. This recipe needs to be duplicated from here on. Rebounds, blocked shots and scoring. Not only all three were firing on all cylinders tonight UConn also recieved help from Villanova getting themselves in foul trouble early which came back to haunt them later on with UConn making 35-44 to Villanova's 16-20.
All in all a great win for the Huskies and Jim Calhoun.
I know some of you are hungry, but dinner needs to stay in the oven just a little longer.
