The Friars pull a Uconn, against Uconn. Second half showing drops Huskies.

By David Serna

Uconn was on the right track after dismantling the #1 Texas Longhorns last Saturday and started to get their claws back.
But someone must have took a Pedapaws to the Huskies claws tonight as they took a beating tonight( 81-66) and the hands of the Providence Friars, with that took a big step backward in claiming a spot in the top #25.
The Friars upset, if that's a good word for it #19 Uconn by out rebounding, out scoring and out playing the Huskies in the second half just as the Huskies did against Texas.
I have mentioned that Robinson, Dyson and Walker needed to step up and run the games and be the leaders the rest of the way, but this seemed to go the way side tonight.
Robinson had a decent night (14 points) and Walker (17 points) but after controlling the boards last Saturday, (4) and (8) rebounds tonight are not going to get it done. Not one player made it into double figures tonight in rebounds, two Friars did, Peterson(14) and Dixon (12). Also Uconn's leading scorer Jerome Dyson after lighting up the Longhorns for a career high (32) points, had (13) tonight.
Out hustle and out played the Huskies were tonight.
(13) 2nd chance points for the Friars too (1) for the Huskies in the second half.
(30) rebounds for the Friars too (15) for the Huskies in the second half.

Which Uconn Huskies team will show up next? Which half will show us which team?
The strong start and the weak finish, or the weak start with the strong finish.

We shall see.
